About Me

Hi.  My name is Ian Douglas and I am the author of the Made Simple Guides series of eBooks.

Almost everyone stumbles across my website while searching for help with a specific technical problem such as how to create a Blog, how to configure AWeber or how to accept credit card payments online.  They arrive on one of my Made Simple Guides sales pages, buy an eBook, find it easy to follow and then return to make another purchase to help them solve another technical problem.

However, after they have made a few purchases I am finding a growing number of customers are starting to look beyond the subject matter of my eBooks and start looking at the actual eBook, and my website, itself with the desire to create and sell their own eBook.

I started writing my series of Made Simple Guides in my spare time to help friends solve technical problems but, over the years, I have found more and more of my eBook customers are turning to me for advice and help as they, themselves, desire to write their own eBook and sell it via their own website. This has now reached a stage where I earn considerably more through my Made Simple Guides Consultancy Service (which includes ghost writing, software installation and product creation coaching) than I earn through eBooks sales.

I originally simply used my newsletter to let customers know when I released new versions of my eBooks (as all my eBooks come with free lifetime updates) however my newsletter has now evolved more into tips and advice about product creation so I am starting this Blog to allow my readers and clients more interaction.

Some people still subscribe to my newsletter simply to be kept up-to-date with my new eBook releases but a growing number of readers seem to be share my passion for writing and enjoy reading my tips sharing how to go about researching, writing and finally selling their own eBook.  It gives me great pleasure when a subscriber takes the time to let me know that they, themselves, have created, and sold, their first eBook.

That is now the aim of this Blog: to share product creation tips and advice to help you research, write and sell your first eBook.

I hope you will find this Blog interesting and useful and that the tips and advice it contains will help you make your first sale of YOUR OWN newly written book.
